Ref: Travel advisory due to the COVID-19 Virus
Please be advised that the County of Door and the Town of Liberty Grove have declared a public health emergency. The following travel advisory is in effect for the duration of these emergencies:
- Due to high community transmission in certain areas of the State, the Town of Liberty Grove is recommending that you stay in your home area if you have a seasonal or second home in the Town of Liberty grove. Due to our limited health care infrastructure (one hospital for 27,000 Door County people) we ask that you do not visit the Town now.
- If you have a seasonal home in Liberty Grove, please stay at your winter homes at this time. If you are in Liberty Grove now, you must immediately self-isolate for 14 days.
- Liberty Grove and Door County have one of the highest populations of older people in Wisconsin. This population is at the highest risk of COVID-19. It is the Town Board’s duty to keep all our residents healthy and safe from the virus.
- This situation is changing daily—please be advised that additional health and travel restrictions could be imposed as we move through this pandemic.
